Seeking part-time organist for one Sunday morning church service and for all regularly scheduled traditional services, limited special events, such as concerts and programs, church-wide in scope and intent, and serve as accompanist for some Sanctuary Choir rehearsals, typically two per month as well as Sunday morning prep rehearsals. Regular special services during Holy Week, Christmas Eve, Christmas Concert and a Spring Concert held every other year. Funerals and weddings as able and desired by the organist and paid separately. Rogers hybrid pipe/digital 4 manual organ, encompassing approximately 30 ranks of pipes. Compensation $30,000 annual based on 52 weeks work. (Note: this is not a salaried position, hourly based, non-exempt staff with the agreement to always pay for 12 hours per week even if the actual hours worked vary each pay period). Part-time benefits include employer FICA, 2 weeks paid vacation accrued throughout the year, 2 weeks sick leave accrued throughout the year, 9 holidays if they occur on a normally scheduled day, 403b option to put own dollars into retirement but not matched by the church. Seeking organist/pianist only to accompany 1 Sunday service, 3 times per month. There are no choirs. There is a budget for guest vocalists and/or instrumentalists. Special services Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Easter. Allen Protege two manual organ as well as a Technics keyboard. Seeking part-time Organist/Choir Director. The Director will serve both as organist and choir director for one weekly Sunday morning service and one weekly adult choir rehearsal, as well as providing music for major feast days and other occasions as designated. The organ is a Casavant Opus 3108 rebuilt pipe organ, expanded and installed at Christ the King in 2010. It has 24 ranks of pipes playing through 23 stops. The Organist/Choir Director provides oversight to the music ministry, which includes a handbell choir. Knowledge of, and appreciation for contemporary music is a plus.
